Community Center News
Registration for the Jewish
Community Center Nursery Pro-
gram will remain open until Oc-
tober 14, announced Mrs. 'Irving
S I d e 11, Children's Committee
chairman. Registration is only
open to children who are three
years of age, and is conducted at
the Temple De Hirsch. Since the
holiday period coincided with the
openin,g of the Nursery, registra-
tion was extended.
Mrs. Mildred L und, a member
of the Center staff, will direct the
nursery programs. Mrs. Lund is
recognized as one of the outstand-
ing nursery teachers in the area.
Mrs. Lund is assisted by Mrs.
Marjorie Johnson who has had
many years of nursery experi-
ence.

Colored Movies of the 1957 Day
Camp will be shown on Monday,
October 14, at 8:15 p.m., at the
Center, at the gathering of the
parents of 1957 Day Campers/
Plans for th'e 1958 season will
be discussed, and Mrs. Irving
Side]l, chairman of the Children's
Committee, will preside.
A Succoth Ball will open the
social activities for adult mere-"
bers of the Center on Saturday
evening, October 12, at 9 p,m.
Traditional decorations and re-
freshments will be featured, and
there will be dancing to the
music of Alex Goldman and his
band. All adult members and
their friends are invited to at-
tend. A nominal charge will be
made.

Miss Milstein is a graduate of
New York University, where she
received a master's degree in psy-
chology. She is a consulting psy-

The bride-to-be will arrive in
Seattle on October 12 for a 10-
day visit.
The wedding date has been set
for November 10, and will take
place at the St. Morltz Hotel, in
New York City.
Hillel News
On Friday, October 11, ttillel's
first service of the season will be
a Succoth service to take place
at 4 p.m. The Oneg Shabbat will
be conducted in the Succah which
was built by the students. Friends
and relatives are welcome to at-
tend this celebration.

Dr. Frank Rosenthal, Director
of the Hillel Foundation at the
University of Washington, an-
nounced that several classes at
Hillel will begin durirrg the week
of October 21, when the follow-
ing classes will be offered: Be-
ginner'. Hebrew, Intermediate
ttebrew, and Reading of Modern
Hebrew Literature.
Workshops in Basic Judaism
and Folk Dancing will also be
offered. Members of the commu-
nity are invited to participate in

tional Convention recently held
in Milwaukee, Wis.
