Book Courses "The Modern Woman in Con- temporary Fiction" is the theme chosen by the Seattle Chapter, Brandeis University National Women's Committee. Discussions will be led by Professor Richard Blessing of the University of Washington English Department. The book chosen to be read for the first meeting, to be held October 15, is "The Sterile Cuc- koo". Chairman of this study course, which will meet the third Thursday of each month, is Mrs. Edward Hasson. "Art on Wheels" is the title of the art study program where members wll travel as a group to places of interest in the field of art. Mrs. Alvin Pearl will serve as chairman for these trips which include the Masterworks Collection of 19th and 20th cen- tury paintings at the Seattle Art Museum (paintings exhibited include works by Cezanne, Re- noir, Degas, Monet and others), the International Print Show, a tour of the fabulous art collec- tion at the Seattle First Bank and several private collections. All programs planned fea- ture guided tours by trained docents. Only members of Brandeis University National Women's Committee are eligible to par- ticipate in these events.
