Defeats B.C. in All Sports Day Over 80 representatives of the Seattle Jewish Community Cen- ter's Physical Education Teams overwhelmed the Vancouver, B.C. Jewish Community Center in an Inter-Center competition held on March 7 at Vancouver, B.C. The Seattle J.C.C. demon- strated their skills and abilities by winning 3 out of 4 Basketball Games as well as winning an all age group Swim Meet. After trailing by 18 points at the half way mark of the SWIM MEET, the Seattle Team won the remaining events of Butter- fly and Free Style Relays to win a narrow victory of 176-164. The 5th Grade Basketball Team used a tight defense and was able to down the Vancouver Team by a score of 28 to 3. Lead- ing the Seattle Team to victory were Jeff Friedman, Murray Eastern, Robert Bovarnick, Art Goldman, Louis Treiger, Barry Albert, and Brock Adler. The 10th and llth Grade Bas- ketball Team dominatcxi the backboards and an aggressive offensive enabled the Seattle Team to defeat Vancouver by a score of 30 to 5. Led by Tom Hanan's l0 points and David Menashe's 6 points, Seattle en- joyed an easy victory over Van- couver. Top defense perform- ance was turned in by Seth Franklin.
