PAGE i0 THE JEWISH TRANSCRIPT APRIL 9, 1970 NCJW Create Oriental Fantasy on April 11 By Mrs. Milton Roumm After months of preparation Angel Ball '70, the gala, formal social event sponsored by the Seattle Section, National Council of Jewish Women, will become a reality on Saturday night, April llth at 8:30 p.m. in the Grand and Spanish Ballrooms of the Olympic Hotel. According to Mrs. Phil Bog- uch and Mrs. Jack Benaroya, co- chairmen, this year's annual Ball will have as the theme "Ori- ental Fantasy." Guests will en- ter the ballroom through a large Tori gate. Inside fresh cherry blossoms will permeate the air with the odor of spring. A sumptuous buffet will be served on a beautiful table high- lighted by a huge carved ice cen- terpiece, in the shape of a pago- da, filled with fresh flowers. Din- ing will be by candlelight and cherry blossoms. The waitresses will be garbed in oriental dress. There will be no reserved tables this year so guests can mingle with friends in the room of their choice Dancing from 8:30 to 1: 00 a.m. by Jerry Tucker's or- chestra will be featured. This will all be yours to enjoy if you have contributed $150.00 worth of clothing or household items to the Council Thrift Shop ($75.00 single person) during the past year. Greeting you at the door will be the many members of the reservations committee: Mrs. Robert Brill, Chairman; Mesdames: Jerome Mesher, Wm. Schwartz, Robert Gold- berg, Win.
